Inspiration:Hummingbirds are wonderfully peculiar creatures. No other bird can move their wings in all directions and hover in space for long periods of time like they can. Hummingbirds put out so much energy that they have to drink up to half-8 times their body weight in one day to find balance. I have always loved hummingbirds, delighted and awe-inspired every time I have had the pleasure of encountering one. This was a special piece for me to paint for a few reasons.This summer in my studies withSalicrow, one of my ancestors came to me in the form of a hummingbird, both physically and on the astral plane. They delivered and important message to me. I had been desiring to make contact with this ancestor for a long time, so it was a very special occasion to get to connect with them to receive wisdom and guidance. When they present themselves as a hummingbird, it serves as an important reminder for me be joyful, present and to find balance in my life.There is much we can learn from studying the natural world!Please note this item is printed upon purchase, so please expect a few extra days for processing and shipping.
